Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Acadiana Christian Defenders. The victory continues a trend for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool in their matchups with Acadiana Christian: they've now won four in a row.

Eliza Long made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Long wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Dommert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Dommert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another was Alyse Sistrunk, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Acadiana Christian, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will take on Word of God Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Word of God Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool surely won't give up without a fight. Acadiana Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
