Baseball Recap: Asheville T Victorious

Asheville T won the last time they faced Bethel Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trailblazers walked away with a 10-5 win over the Crusaders.

Dalton Galloway made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 3-for-4. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Stephen Covington was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Gage Flowers was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Asheville T's record is now 8-9. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Asheville T will welcome Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Master's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
