Yerba Buena entered their tilt with Independence on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the 76ers 26-23.

Daniel Gonzalez threw for 38 yards.

Several 76ers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Aspiras, who rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown. Chase Pagaduan was another key rusher, rushing for 71 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Yerba Buena now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Independence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
