Football Game Preview: Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs vs. West Broward Bobcats + How To Watch

The Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs will face off against the West Broward Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

West Broward will be up against a hot Cardinal Gibbons team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Chiefs claimed a resounding 52-6 win over South Broward. The matchup marked the Chiefs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

It was another big night for Jayden Torres, who threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (153.6). Gary Hadley Jr. got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hadley Jr., who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Cardinal Gibbons' defense stepped up as well, laying out Steven Wright. 3.5 times. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Amauri Rogers and Alexander Carry, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Broward). They really took it to Everglades for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-0 win. The Bobcats have beaten the Gators the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Gators has come to flipping the script.

West Broward now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
