Volleyball Game Preview: Minooka Indians vs. Joliet West Tigers

The Minooka Indians will challenge the Joliet West Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Minooka sitting on three straight victories and Joliet West on seven.

On Tuesday, Minooka beat Romeoville 2-0.

Minooka easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Joliet West challenged Plainfield South on Tuesday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Cougars 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Joliet West got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-27, 25-20.

Joliet West found their leader in sophomore Sam Racutt, who had ten digs.

Minooka's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Joliet West, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.
