Softball Recap: Superior Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marquette, Superior Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Manistique Emeralds with a sharp 11-5 win. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Superior Central's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.3 runs this season. As for Manistique, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
