Recap: Hopewell Titans vs. Chambers Cougars
The Hopewell Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They were outmatched by Chambers at home and fell 69-22. That's two games in a row now that Hopewell has lost by exactly 47 points.
Brianna Redmond had a dynamite game for Chambers, scoring 33 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Redmond has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Simpson, who scored eight points.
Hopewell's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Chambers, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hopewell will take on West Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopewell is facing West Mecklenburg at the right time seeing as West Mecklenburg is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Chambers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Mecklenburg's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
