Inland Valley recap September 17, 2013
Poly was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in Inland Valley. The Bears vanquished Rubidoux 45-19 earlier in the week.
Canyon Springs scaled the state rankings by moving to 319 from 434 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars were able to make move up by defeating Jurupa Hills 29-22.
Valley View's dynamic duo of Abraham Nuno and Hakeem Eubanks proved to be unstoppable against Patriot, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Nuno threw for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns and Eubanks had 159 yards receiving. Davante Ward helped Valley View's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
The Eagles' dynamic duo of Nuno and Eubanks proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Nuno put up the best numbers in passing as Valley View topped Patriot.
Eubanks was the best receiver in the league this week as Dan Lyons' team topped Eric Hammond/Chris Fowler's team.
David Samuelu was the most successful running back in Inland Valley this week. He ran for 182 yards on 14 carries as Poly defeated the Warriors. Teammate Devontre Hale added to the ground attack by rushing for 98 yards.
He was 12-18 with 0 interceptions.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Eubanks. The Valley View star has 15 catches for 221 yards.
JW North fell to La Quinta 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
