It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Farmington ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cass Tech Technicians 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-10 on Saturday.

Brady Irvin looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Vincent Pesci, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 matchups. Another player making a difference was Carter O'Driscoll, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Farmington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Farmington and bumps their season record up to 8-23. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Cass Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-9.

Coming up, Farmington will welcome University of Detroit Jesuit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cass Tech, they will face off against Western International at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
