Hardin County and McNairy Central are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2019, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hardin County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Jackson North Side, falling 83-53. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, McNairy Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Jackson South Side 72-37. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Hawks are ranked 32nd).

McNairy Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Hardin County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Hardin County was able to grind out a solid win over McNairy Central in their previous meeting back in January, winning 65-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hardin County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
