Volleyball Recap: Kingwood Park Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Kingwood Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Harmony School of Advancement Hawks on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Hawks last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Kingwood Park got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 22-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Harmony School of Advancement still got an impressive performance from Joseph Hoang, who had 21 digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Hoang a new career-high.

Kingwood Park now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Harmony School of Advancement, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingwood Park will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Atascocita at 4:30 p.m. on April 10. As for Harmony School of Advancement, they will square off against Pearland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
