Volleyball Game Preview: Stevens Raiders vs. Jefferson Cavaliers

Stevens hasn't had much luck against Jefferson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m.

Stevens is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Lincoln, who was ranked eighth at the time (Stevens was ranked 13th). The Raiders came up short against the Patriots on Saturday, falling 3-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-20, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Jefferson earned a 3-1 win over Aberdeen Central on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Stevens, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-11.
