Basketball Recap: Fountain Inn Fury vs. Emerald Vikings
Fountain Inn waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 62-28 win over the Emerald Vikings. With that victory, the Fury brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fountain Inn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aniya Brown, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Zipora Sullivan, who posted 13 points and five steals.
Fountain Inn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emerald only pulled down ten offensive rebounds.
Fountain Inn's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Emerald, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Fountain Inn will take on Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fountain Inn knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Southside likes a good challenge. As for Emerald, they will face off against Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
