Indianapolis Lutheran is 8-2 against Monrovia since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Saints will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Indianapolis Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Indianapolis Lutheran narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past North Central 9-7.

Sam Strader and Dax Lockliear did most of the damage at the plate: Strader fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3, while Lockliear went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Lockliear has posted since back in May of 2024. Austin Brandenburg was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Indianapolis Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Monrovia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 8-4 to Owen Valley.

Grant Kluemper made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Indianapolis Lutheran has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. However, it's not like Monrovia struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Indianapolis Lutheran beat Monrovia 14-9 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
