Soccer Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

Gilmer came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to the Adairsville Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Gilmer of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Gilmer's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Adairsville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Gilmer has already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against Ridgeland on the 21st. As for Adairsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Heritage on the 20th.
