Football Recap: Marcus Arnold and Tristen Rutledge Secure Win for Pelham + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Pelham, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Leeds Greenwave on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 35-28 victory the Greenwave walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Leading Pelham to victory were Tristen Rutledge and Marcus Arnold. Rutledge rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, while Arnold picked up 61 receiving yards and one TD. Rutledge has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Leeds still got an impressive performance from Taylon Gaiter, who rushed for 82 yards on only nine carries, and also caught one score.

The win snapped Pelham's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record. As for Leeds, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Pelham will head out to square off against Fort Payne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leeds does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
