Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Marcus Arnold and Tristen Rutledge Lead Pelham to Victory + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Pelham, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Leeds Greenwave on Friday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 35-28 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pelham was led to victory by Tristen Rutledge and Marcus Arnold. Rutledge rushed for 100 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while Arnold picked up 61 receiving yards and one TD. Rutledge has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Leeds lost, don't look at Taylon Gaiter. Despite the final result, he rushed for 82 yards on only nine carries, and also caught one touchdown.

The victory snapped Pelham's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record. As for Leeds, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Pelham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-21 defeat against Fort Payne on the 30th. As for Leeds, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Briarwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
