Basketball Recap: Moorcroft Takes a Loss

Moorcroft played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Big Horn Rams and fell 64-32. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.

Despite the defeat, Moorcroft saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lani Gill went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Ava Taylor went supernova for Big Horn, putting up 18 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Taylor is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Emme Grace Mullinax was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 10 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

Moorcroft has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Big Horn, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Moorcroft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-38 loss against Lead-Deadwood on the 25th. As for Big Horn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-45 win against Sundance on the 25th.
