Basketball Recap: Rogers Heritage Takes a Loss

Rogers Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Northside Grizzlies, falling 66-43. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Grizzlies are ranked sixth).

Hazley Grotjohn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northside, going 7 of 14 en route to 19 points and seven steals. That's the most points Grotjohn has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Schmidt, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 14 points.

Rogers Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Northside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Rogers Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-47 loss against Bentonville West on the 28th. Northside has also already played their next game, a 54-50 defeat against Har-Ber on the 28th.
