Volleyball Recap: Buckholts Extends Winning Streak to Three

Buckholts had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Memorial Christian Academy Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Badgers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Buckholts was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-16.

Buckholts found their leader in freshman Kimberlee Owen, who had 12 aces. Another player making a difference was Elyla Velez, who had five aces.

Buckholts was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Buckholts' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Memorial Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckholts will challenge Waelder at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Memorial Christian Academy and Vanguard College Prep will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
