Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Wayne vs. Spring Creek

The Eastern Wayne Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Spring Creek Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Eastern Wayne will head out to face Spring Creek after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Eastern Wayne fell just short of Princeton by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Geralyn Ramey, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Spring Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 5-1 to North Johnston.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eastern Wayne fell to 7-1-1. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-2.

Eastern Wayne took their win against Spring Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastern Wayne since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
