Basketball Recap: Mesick Takes a Loss

The matchup between Mesick and Lake City on Monday hardly resembled the 36-21 effort from their previous meeting. The Mesick Bulldogs were dealt a 69-36 defeat at the hands of the Lake City Trojans. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

When it comes to explaining why Mesick lost, don't look at Issac Stroh. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. Jackson Abraham was another key player, putting up five points.

Mesick's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lake City, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Mesick wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-29 defeat against Baldwin on the 8th. Lake City has also already played their next game, a 52-33 loss against Pine River Area on the 7th.
