Soccer Game Preview: Lake Shore vs. Grosse Pointe North

The Lake Shore Shorians will head out to face off against the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lake Shore came up short against L'Anse Creuse on Friday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Lake Shore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 340th, while L'Anse Creuse are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Grosse Pointe North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 8-0 to St. Clair.

Grosse Pointe North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Lake Shore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season.
