Soccer Game Preview: Mount Vernon Christian vs. Grace Academy

Mount Vernon Christian is 8-1-1 against Grace Academy since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will venture away from home to face off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Mount Vernon Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Mount Vernon Christian's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Cedar Park Christian. It was an even better day for Sean Russell as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Grace Academy faced Friday Harbor in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came up short against the Wolverines, falling 6-0. Grace Academy haven't had much luck with Friday Harbor recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Grace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Mount Vernon Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1-3.

Everything went Mount Vernon Christian's way against Grace Academy in their previous meeting back in September, as Mount Vernon Christian made off with a 5-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
