Volleyball Recap: Pine Crest Beats Highlands Christian for Their Third Straight Victory

Pine Crest had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Highlands Christian Knights 3-0. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

The victory didn't come easy: Highlands Christian scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.

John Chen paced Pine Crest's offense, picking up ten kills. Chen got some help from Cayden Brocato and his 24 assists. Guillermo Ariza controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pine Crest's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Highlands Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Pine Crest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Franklin Academy on the 19th. As for Highlands Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against David Posnack Jewish Day on the 18th.
