Basketball Recap: Eli Frye's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Christian over Judah Christian Academy

On Friday, the Heritage Christian Eagles came up short against the Judah Christian Academy Lions and fell 54-42. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eli Frye, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Mikeal, who earned eight points.

It was another big night for Chase Haggins, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals for Judah Christian Academy. Haggins is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nathaniah Vroege, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Judah Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Heritage Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 16th. As for Judah Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-38 loss against Walnut Grove Christian on the 10th.
