Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Sets Scoring Season-High Against Canyon Springs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillcrest). They put the hurt on the Canyon Springs Cougars with a sharp 20-4 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

James Henson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Caloca, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.

Hillcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Canyon Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
