Baseball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West lost against Farragut back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rebels took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Admirals. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Moffett, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

West's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Farragut, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

West is taking a road trip to square off against Knoxville Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels are facing the Fighting Irish at the right time seeing as the Fighting Irish are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Farragut, they will take on Bowling Green at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Admirals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Purples have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
