Softball Recap: Blackhawk Takes a Loss

The Blackhawk Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the Laurel Spartans on Monday and fell 3-1.

Blackhawk saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Alexander, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Blackhawk now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Laurel, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blackhawk will welcome Ambridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Laurel, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mercer at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 1.3, the Mustangs 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
