Basketball Recap: West Columbus Takes a Loss

West Columbus played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 62-19 loss at the hands of the Whiteville Wolfpack. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Iyana Lowery and Kimel Lennon certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Lowery posted seven points and three blocks, while Lennon had no points. Lowery is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

West Columbus' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Whiteville, they moved to 1-8 with that win, which also ended their 13-game losing streak.

West Columbus will challenge South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whiteville, they will face off against East Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
