Baseball Game Preview: Prospect Knights vs. Naperville Central Redhawks

The Prospect Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Prospect is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Prospect is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Conant just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 10-5 to the Cougars.

Logan Nordentoft made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was John Aquino, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Naperville Central came out on top against DeKalb on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Redhawks walked away with a 7-3 win over the Barbs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redhawks.

Naperville Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Prospect, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1.

Prospect might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Naperville Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
