Volleyball Recap: Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool was the 3-0 winner over Acadiana Home School Athletics when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool fell just short of Acadiana Home School Athletics by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-10, 20-25, 15-5.

Acadiana Home School Athletics found their leader in sophomore Emily Mader, who had nine aces and five kills. Mader is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia West, who had five digs and two aces.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Acadiana Home School Athletics wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Lake Area HomeSchool Sports on the 8th. Hopefully Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool paid attention to Acadiana Home School Athletics' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Acadiana Home School Athletics at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
