Volleyball Recap: Ell-Saline Comes Up Short

Ell-Saline lost against Rock Hills last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15.

Emily Porter paced Ell-Saline's offense, picking up five kills. Porter got some help from Callee Bradley and her seven assists. Finally, Bret Hecker and Paisley Jensen kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Ell-Saline has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Rock Hills, the win keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Ell-Saline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sylvan-Lucas on the 20th. As for Rock Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Bennington on the 20th.
