Football Recap: Electra Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Electra and Wheeler squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Electra had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 35-8. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 958th, while the Mustangs are ranked 419th).

Wheeler can attribute much of their success to Creed Newkirk, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD.

Electra now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Wheeler, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Electra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wheeler, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-6 defeat against Collinsville on the 21st.
