League recap: Parker tops Valley Christian to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in Coastal this week, Parker beat Valley Christian 46-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

La Jolla Country Day scaled the state rankings by moving to 552 from 620 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Torreys were able to move up by defeating Horizon Christian Academy 33-6.

Santa Fe Christian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Carter Roberts threw for 108 and 1 touchdown and Tony Miro had 32 yards receiving. On the ground Miro contributed 179 yards. Jerry Harper helped Santa Fe Christian's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 26 yards.

The Eagles' dynamic duo of Roberts and Miro proved to be unstoppable against Bishop's, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Harper helped Santa Fe Christian's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 26 yards.

Miro was a passing and rushing force as Santa Fe Christian bested the Knights.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Panthers' Josh Gaudet and Anthony Oseguera have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Gaudet has thrown for 1,073 yards this season, while Oseguera has 26 catches for 427 yards. Jon Wallace's team's Miro leads the league in rushing yards with 969.

The Eagles' Miro is a mere 31 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 103 carries Miro has accumulated 969 yard this year.

A big matchup in Coastal this week will be when Parker takes on Bishop's. As it stands, John Morrison's team is in first, while Joel Allen's team is in third.

The Lancers took down the Crusaders 46-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
