Recap: Forest Wildcats vs. North Marion Colts
The Forest Wildcats posted their biggest win since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 64-24 victory over North Marion. With Forest ahead 38-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Forest was led to victory by Jessica Colon and Taleah Jones. Colon scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Jones scored 13 points along with six steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah Perez-llana, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, North Marion saw an underclassman step up: TA'SONI CURBEAM scored ten points. CURBEAM continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was ZIPPORAH MOZELL, who scored six points.
Forest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for North Marion, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Forest and South Sumter will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Sumter is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. North Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
