Basketball Recap: JJ Tatum's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcmichael over North Stokes

McMichael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Stokes Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Vikings are ranked 65th).

McMichael lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being JJ Tatum, who posted 17 points. Brayden Dalton was another key player, putting up 12 points along with five boards and three steals.

McMichael's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for North Stokes, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

McMichael didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-53 victory against Magna Vista on the 4th. As for North Stokes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 78-50 win against Bethany Community on the 4th.
