Viewmont suffers seventh straight loss on the road

Recap: Viewmont Vikings vs. Box Elder Bees

The Viewmont Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 73-60 to Box Elder. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Viewmont's loss came despite strong showings from Drez Jensen and Max Larsen. Jensen scored 15 points, while Larsen scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larsen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Tovey, who scored eight points.

Even though they lost, Viewmont were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their eighth loss (out of nine games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Box Elder's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Max Isaacson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Isaacson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Trevor Wilkinson was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.

Viewmont's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for Box Elder, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-8.

Viewmont will look to defend their home court on Friday against Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. Woods Cross has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Box Elder, they will head out on the road to face off against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Northridge is ranked 70th, while Box Elder is ranked 76th).
