West Branch entered their tilt with Carrollton on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past Carrollton, posting a 48-7 victory. West Branch has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Carrollton, too.

West Branch had a senior duo take command as Grady Hirst rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only six carries and Jeremiah Thomas gained 121 total yards and three touchdowns. Hirst got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 74 yards.

West Branch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

West Branch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Drake Stryffeler, Brock Woost, and Hirst picked up one apiece.

West Branch's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Carrollton, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Branch will take on Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Quakers have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games. As for Carrollton, they will challenge Minerva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
