Wilson Hall entered their tilt with First Baptist School on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Hurricanes 35-14. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Ben McLaurin and Shep Vincent. McLaurin rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on only five carries while Vincent rushed for 58 yards and three TDs on only six carries. McLaurin really tore up the turf during one magnificent 98-yard run.

Wilson Hall was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Wilson Hall's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Andrew Howle, Reese Wilson, and Banks Smith, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Wilson Hall's record now sits at 9-1. As for First Baptist School, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Wilson Hall will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hurricanes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
