Soccer Game Preview: Braxton County vs. Sherman

The Braxton County Eagles will square off against the Sherman Tide at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Braxton County knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past 21 matchups -- so hopefully Sherman likes a good challenge.

Braxton County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Webster County. Fans of Braxton County have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Meanwhile, Sherman earned a 2-0 win over Bluefield on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sherman.

Elijah Jeffery and Logan Buzzard scored both of Sherman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Sherman's victory bumped their record up to 15-2-5. As for Braxton County, their win bumped their record up to 21-0.
