Volleyball Recap: Martin Warriors vs. Richardson Eagles

Martin had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Richardson Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on 17 straight.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-21.

Martin had a senior duo take command as Lauren Adams had 13 digs and two aces and Mckenzie Wright had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Wright has posted in her last seven matches.

Martin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 31-10 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hitting percentage: their hitting percentage was 38.2% in those games and 15.2% outside of them. As for Richardson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-21 record this season.

Martin will challenge Plano East on Thursday. Plano East will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Martin surely won't give up without a fight. Richardson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
