Softball Recap: Carrizo Springs Comes Up Short

Carrizo Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Somerset Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in March.

Carrizo Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Somerset, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carrizo Springs will take on rival Pearsall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Somerset is set to face off against their familiar foe Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
