Volleyball Recap: Apple Valley Beats Granite Hills for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Apple Valley entered their tilt with Granite Hills on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Cougars 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sun Devils also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

One reason for the win was Apple Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-15.

Apple Valley was led to victory by ABIGAIL NICKLASON and SALLY BALLAT. NICKLASON had 18 digs and three assists, while BALLAT had 20 assists and four digs. Those 18 digs gave NICKLASON a new career-high.

Apple Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Granite Hills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apple Valley will challenge Hesperia Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Granite Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fontana at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
