Soccer Game Preview: Northside vs. North Forest

The Northside Panthers will challenge the North Forest Bulldogs at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Friday, Northside got the win against Kashmere by a conclusive 7-1. Northside might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by five goals or more this season.

Northside used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Kashmere. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Jacobo Jimenez, Isaac Perez-Molina, and Angel Melgares Rivera. Melgares Rivera made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, North Forest had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 5-2 to Worthing on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for North Forest in their meetings with Worthing: they've now lost three in a row.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for North Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
