Baseball Game Preview: Bonsall Legionnaires vs. Liberty Charter Lions

The Bonsall Legionnaires will challenge the Liberty Charter Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bonsall has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

While Bonsall's win against Vincent Memorial wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Legionnaires sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 victory over the Scots on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Legionnaires, who have now won three matches in a row.

Meanwhile, while it was Liberty Charter who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Castle Park who put up more. The Lions fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-6. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty Charter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Hays, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The Lions are 3-1 when Hays posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Isaac Anderson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The victory got Bonsall back to even at 5-5. As for Liberty Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
