The Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals will square off against the Palmdale Academy Charter School Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Santa Clarita Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Milken last Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2.

Jacob Trsosper was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Trsosper wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gregory Michlin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Michlin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Cayden Rappleye also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Palmdale Academy Charter School ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lucerne Valley, sneaking past 10-8. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Palmdale Academy Charter School also got a great performance from Derek Martinez as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 7.1 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Martinez a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isaac Torres, who fired off three triples, three stolen bases, and three RBI while going 5-for-5. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessio Ruiz, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Palmdale Academy Charter School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.
Palmdale Academy Charter School's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Clarita Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Santa Clarita Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Palmdale Academy Charter School struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
