Basketball Game Preview: Granby Comets vs. Churchland Truckers

Granby is 1-9 against Churchland since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Granby Comets will square off against the Churchland Truckers at 7:00 p.m. Granby will be strutting in after a victory while Churchland will be coming in after a defeat.

Granby is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 76-69 win over Atlantic Shores Christian on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Meanwhile, Churchland suffered their closest loss since December 28, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Norview by a score of 67-64. The Truckers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Granby pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Churchland, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Things could have been worse for Granby, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-55 loss to Churchland in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Granby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
