Football Game Preview: Chelsea Hornets vs. Chilton County Tigers + How To Watch

Chelsea has gone a perfect 4-0 against Chilton County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Chilton County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chelsea, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Chelsea against Paul W. Bryant as the team secured a 37-7 win. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Stampede are ranked 228th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chase Malone had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 199 yards and four scores on only 15 carries. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 11 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Malone was just one part of a punishing run game: Chelsea was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Chilton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Brookwood on the road by a 25-6 margin.

Chilton County's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chelsea, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Chelsea against Chilton County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-6 win. In that game, the Hornets amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
