Baseball Recap: Smiths Station Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Smiths Station's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Shaw Raiders. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Smiths Station's record now sits at 7-13. As for Shaw, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Smiths Station will challenge Russell County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shaw, they will square off against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
